Being an individual who suffers from anxiety, I have oftentimes found temporary solace in the idea that my broken mind does not define me as broken altogether.
I received inspiration for this sticker after reading the talk "Like a Broken Vessel" in the middle of the night during an anxiety attack. The words of Jeffery R. Holland spoke to me directly that night, and provided me enough comfort to fall back asleep and start anew the next day. This piece became my safe haven, as I worked on it during harder mental days.
I originally made this design for me, but realized so many other individuals suffer with anxiety and depression each day. Some of these individuals are people you would not have ever guessed are fighting mental battles.
A friend.
A family member.
Even your peppy co-worker.
To those who are hurting, and feel broken, there is hope ahead. As created to depict in this design, although you might feel a little broken, you are still so capable of exhibiting and feeling divine beauty and love.
Elder Jeffery Holland states, "Though we may feel we are “like a broken vessel,” as the Psalmist says, we must remember, that vessel is in the hands of the divine potter. Broken minds can be healed just the way broken bones and broken hearts are healed". And for that, I take it day by day living in gratitude for the strength provided to each of us by our loving Savior. 💓
