“Master, carest not that we perish?” (Mark 4:38)
or in other words, God, where are you?
Why haven’t you taken this pain away from me yet?
Why are bad things happening to me?
God, do you not care about me?
A few of these have definitely crossed my mind before.
“Master, carest not that we perish?”
Jesus calms the storm, and asks his trusted apostles, “How is it that ye have no faith?” (Mark 4:40) or in other words, Where is your faith?
Storms come and go throughout our life. Some longer than others, some more raging than others. But amidst the storm, the ultimate test is whether or not we trust Him, the very individual who calms storms.
It takes a great deal of faith. To calm storms, or to be carried through the storm.
Look to Him. Trust Him. He cares about you. He hears your prayers. Watch him calm your storms.
